Student A
Student A is a 13 year-old who had great difficulty regulating his writing on regular notebook paper. He was convinced that he could only produce written work if allowed to use the computer. He had difficulty with floating letters and could not adjust the size of his writing to fit the space. He had difficulty using the right margin properly. When given the JTWS Structured Writing System paper, the student immediately responded to the structure of his chosen line size for tall and short letter placement and for right and left margins. After six months, he is able to transfer that structure to unstructured paper and is able to adjust the size of his writing to meet the available space. He maintains spacing, margins and placement of tall and short letters. He has not requested the use of a computer for written work in six months.
