The primary focus of Assistive Writing Solutions is on supplying parents and teachers with structured writing paper that meets their needs in a far better way than do the other papers now available.
We currently have three basic products in our catalog:
The loose-leaf paper comes in packages of 50 sheets; the notebooks, with solid color covers in a random selection of red, yellow, blue, or green, also contain 50 sheets.
Our paper comes in six line sizes, color-coded for easy identification in group situations, where writers may be using several sizes at the same time. From the Teal-lined paper, which is the size most of you learned on "way back when," to the Blue-lined paper, which is the same size as regular college-ruled paper, there is a size appropriate to every person's writing.
Each of the six line size papers also comes in two decreasing levels of structure:
Regardless of the level of structure, all the paper has extra space between each set of lines to accommodate descending letters, clearly marked left and right margins that do not intrude into the space between the lines (our research showed us that when the margins were single lines running the length of the page the writers often had trouble determining what was writing line and what was separating space), and structured places for the writer's name and the date and a place to write the name of the assignment. All are printed on 60-pound paper to allow for multiple erasures without damaging the paper.
